DIY Mosaics and Collage
Join Miss Zoe and the Heights Branch staff for two hours of relaxing crafting (from 4 pm to close) with a variety of different crafts by age/ability.
Toddlers and young children may complete a small, pre-packaged mosaic craft (this activity is grab-and-go, so it may be taken home).
Kids are welcome to paint paper plate segments to create a unique mosaic (framed by two pieces of contact paper). Parents are encouraged to help with the dishing out of paint and the unsticking of contact paper.
Teens and older children may create a collage using colored pieces of paper, magazine clippings, and clippings from old books. The library will provide this material, but it is strongly encouraged to bring your own!! Each participant (over the age of 10) will be provided with one canvas and access to modge podge, paint brushes, and scissors to construct their collage.
Ages 3-17 are welcome to attend this program. Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Adult caregivers may participate in the above crafts but will not be supplied a canvas - if they would like to collage, they can use card stock.
Registration is not necessary for this event.
